PRIMARY DIAGNOSES TREATED:
Medical care for children with orthopedic disabilities or burns: Scoliosis (curvature of the spine); back problems, Club Feet, Dislocated hip, Hip dysphasia, Legg-Perthes Disease, Leg-length Discrepancies, Amputation or deficiency of limbs, Fractures (non-emergency), Orthopedic sports injuries, Osteogenesis imperfecta, Rickets, Polio, Musculoskeletal disorders, Pediatric and orthopedic problems related to cerebral palsy and spina bifida, Deformities due to burns, Scar revision, Reconstructive surgery, Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and others
Physical & Occupational Therapy, Child Life & Recreation Therapy (pre-operative teaching and medical play to help prepare families and patients for surgery); Burn Camp and Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Camp; Child Amputee Prosthetics Project (CAPP), On Site Public School, Patient & Family Services, Indoor Hydro-therapy pool
PATIENT REFERRALS: Children from birth to eighteen (18) years of age may apply.
All children are eligible if, in the opinion of the medical staff, there is a
possibility that treatment will benefit the child.
ALL TREATMENT IS FREE. PAYMENT IS NOT ACCEPTED FROM PATIENTS, FAMILIES, GOVERNMENT FUNDS OR INSURANCE.
